What inspires you to ACT for Global Change in your community?
What inspires me to ACT4 Global Change in my community is the idea of multiculturalism in my community. I wanted to know more about other cultures and how I can be of help and a positive influence in integrating new immigrants into my community.
What’s the best part of being a youth ambassador for ACT 4 Global Change?
The best part of being a youth ambassador is being able to lend a voice to social groups that often have none. It was often the silence over pressing social issues such as racism that made people ignorant about how to deal with them when things come to head. The more people learn, the better the society functions.
What is your favorite quote and why?
“We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.” - The American Declaration of Independence.
It was a quote that challenged everyone to treat others with equity. It is understood that not everyone was born the same, but nonetheless should treat each other they way they wanted to be treated. It was an immortal quote challenged everyone to do their best in making the world a better place to live.
If you had a free day to spend any way you wanted to, what would you do?
Drink tea, fold origami, write a poem, volunteer at the soup kitchen, and have lots of sleep.
What Sustainable Development Goal are you the most passionate about and why?
Goal #4: Because Education is the key for humanity to move forward. By educating the public about the problems in the world and how to tackle them, sustainable development would be highly achievable. Knowledgeable people will act, and it is exactly these small but significant actions that will change the world.
