What’s the best part of being a youth ambassador for ACT 4 Global Change?

The best part of being a youth ambassador, is getting the chance to meet new people, hear their stories and learn about important things. Also, the fact that I have the opportunity to teach others about different issues that are very important to me and knowing that that I am encouraging the youth to get involved in their community.

What is your favorite quote and why?

My favorite quote would be: “the best preparation for tomorrow is doing your best today” by H. Jackson Brown, Jr. I love this quote because I find it so inspirational and it makes me want to help out more to make a better future for the next generations. To have a good future for everyone, we need to start working hard today. The more young people are conscious and involved to act for the best tomorrow, the better. It is indeed our duty to educate and inform as many as we can about the importance of their actions.

What inspires you to ACT for Global Change in your community?

It would be the fact that I am able to make a positive social change. I believe that helping out in a small way can go a long way. Also, everyone around me inspires me to get involved and to try my best to make a difference.

If you had a free day to spend any way you wanted to, what would you do?

If I had a free day, I would spend it with my friends doing simple acts of kindness around my city. Then, I would go home and spend the rest of the day with my family learning from my mother's cooking. Afterwards, I would sit down with my sister and watch a good movie.

Which Sustainable Development Goal are you the most passionate about and why?

For me, it would be Climate Action: I believe that global warming is getting really bad at this moment and that if we don’t act soon it could get worst for the future generations. Everyone deserves to live in a clean and safe world. Therefore, I would like to increase awareness so that, one day, it could be something of the past.
