What inspires you to ACT for Global Change in your community?

What inspired me to Act 4 global change in my community is that I get to learn many different things about what’s happening in my communities locally and globally and how I could contribute to make a change in my communities. I am also inspired by the opportunities to assist in my communities to achieve social justice, good environment, and respect for all.

What’s the best part of being a youth ambassador for ACT 4 Global Change?

The best part of being a youth ambassador for Act 4 Global Change is because I get to develop real-world experience by supporting and advocating for justice. I will also learn transferable skills from experts, in leadership, community development, and social change. Being a youth ambassador I will gain not only a unique life experience, but it will also open doors to many other leadership opportunities.

What is your favorite quote and why?

“In order to succeed, we much first believe that we can”. (Nikos Kazantzakis)

This quote is my favorite because it motivates me to make myself better, for example if I’m not happy about myself, how can I make others feel happy. If I’m not doing it right I can’t judge others, therefore I should love and correct myself and have faith in myself so I can be successful. When you truly believe in yourself then you will succeed in things you try in your life.

If you had a free day to spend any way you wanted to, what would you do?

If I had free day to spend any way I wanted, I would like to do volunteering activities in my communities to improve the environment and help disadvantaged people. I would also like t look after how we can sustain our environment by participating in anti- litter campaigns.

What Sustainable Development Goal are you the most passionate about and why?

Goal #5: Gender Equality. I think this is a very important sustainable development because every women and girls should have equal respect and opportunities. To sustain this goal we should help every young girl and women’s get suitable education. It has been found that when women are educated they raise the standard of living of everyone in their communities. (becauseiamagirl.ca)
